Brooklyn College students, faculty, and alumni, as well as a roster of established radio personalities embraced the longevity of BC radio as they celebrated the station's 41st anniversary this past Thursday in the Student Center. "Can I Kick It?" "Yes You Can!" The first annual Can U Kick It?! took place last Thursday on the second floor of Brooklyn College's Hillel Building. The event, which local celebrity and creator, Jamal "ScienZe" Monsanto, President of BC Entertainment, called "an abstract of the artful mind," was created as a way to raise awareness for the homeless youth in New York City through art, seeing as how November is National Youth Homelessness Awareness Month.… Post the First Comment

Last week, the school began to put up hand sanitizer dispensers around campus to help combat the swine flu pandemic, and more will be installed soon. Last Thursday, the Health Department held the Great American Smoke out "To bring awareness to smoking cessation" as Jean Patterson, the administrative assistant to the health department said "Its in relation with the smoking awareness month, it was done to help reduce the amount of smokers we have.… 1 Comment
